   VPN service interface

You have the following devices configured:
1.
2.
Press "Generate" to place an entry. A new configuration file will be downloaded. Please note: Keys will take up to 5 minutes to become active. FAQ 1) What do I need to use this? WireGuard. It's a good VPN software. You can get it for Windows, Mac, Android, iPhone, and more. 2) How do I use this? Press one of the "Generate" buttons and save the file that is presented. Import it into WireGuard on the device you want to use. You can name your keys if you want. Enter a single word and press "Save". This is entirely optional and only for your own convenience. It might help you remember which entry to replace if, for example, you get a new phone or something. Press "Delete" on any entries that you no longer need. 3) What do I need this for? It connects you to the network on the ship so you can access certain services (wissen, db, sonne, ...) as if you were on board. 4) Can I use this to hide my identity online? No. 5) I lost my file, can I get it back? Just generate a new one. They're really cheap and we bought them in bulk.1 6) Can I use the same file for multiple devices? No. Things will not work right.2 7) What if I need more than two devices? I have other questions. Please ask it-crew at stubnitz.com. ... x) Hey, you won't let me enter my own key!? That's right, because it doesn't matter. If you really want, though, you can email us and we can set you up. :) y) I don't want to email you nerds, just let me enter my key! Alright, here's a secret: We show you a disabled input field, but if you craft your own request with the right data in it, the backend will gladly take your hand-made key. An easy way to do this is by pressing F12 in Firefox. A window should open with a bunch of nerd stuff in it. Go to the "Network" tab and reload the page. You should see a GET request appear for "wgpeers.php" and a status code of 200, indicating success. Right-click this request and select "Edit and Resend". This will open an edit pane to the left. Change GET to POST at the top, then scroll down to "Body". Enter your key(s) in the following format: [ { "pubkey": "...", "label": "foo" }, { "pubkey": "...", "label": "bar" } ] By the way, if you look at the "Headers" section, you may notice that it has an entry "Authorization" of the form "Bearer xyz...". The latter part is your secret access token. It should match what is included after the hash sign '#' in the link you used to reach this page. Don't lose it and don't give it to anyone. PS: An even easier way (again using Firefox) is to open the input field in the "Inspector" and remove its "disabled" attribute. ^^ Just right-click the locked field and select "Inspect". The developer toolbox will open with the input element highlighted. Note the word "disabled" on the highlighted line and right-click on it. Go to the "Attributes" submenu and select "Remove attribute 'disabled'". The input box should now unlock. Enter your key and click the "Save" button. z) Cool! Now that we're talking, how does this thing work behind the scenes? When you're on the VPN, why don't you check out the README...
___ 1 Just kidding, we never see your file. It is created on your computer and never leaves. That's why we can't get it back. 2 The devices will fight over who gets to use the connection.
